We are committed to providing you everything you need to create your own authentic French look, as well as lots of ever-changing gardening information, an ever-evolving body of knowledge that we hope you consult frequently and most importantly, with enjoyment and sometimes amusement. And having whetted your appetite for all things French and gardening, we offer you an ever-expanding array of the very best garden-related products that we have found throughout France. We started this company with a committment to offering only French-made products, and we hope to keep it that way. Don't look here for "French-look" garden urns made in China. We want to connect you with the artisan-creators of the French countryside as well as those of its great cities. These artisans' devotion to their arts and traditional methods places their products in a class by themselves. We know you'll find gardening accoutrements here you'd never find otherwise, unless you move to France and start hunting. We hope simultaneously to help preserve the rich artisanal traditions of France whose very survival is threatened for lack of wider markets. Barbara Wilde--the founder of this company--is a passionate gardener, and cook who loves and lives in France. She personally writes all the content on this site, and travels throughout her adopted country looking for great home and garden products to offer you, as well as visiting gardens and observing techniques to share with you. Barbara has designed gardens for American gardeners since 1987, and is a garden speaker and writer of long standing. She was for many years the regular garden columnist for Indianapolis Woman magazine, has written articles for Horticulture magazine, co-authored several gardening books for Rodale Press, and has a new book out from Rodale Press, Growing Roses Organically.
