Corbeille translates as "basket," and indeed, it can be used as a cache-pot for a plant, or filled with fruits, nuts, or anything that strikes your fancy.
But even without further adornment, the
corbeille will elicit admiration from all who see it. I literally gasped with delight when I first laid eyes on it, and it is infused for me with the warmth of its creators: two brothers and their aged father; their mother runs the business end. All four are a total delight, with the entire family insisting on being present when we come to pick up our order.
The colors in the
