Average soils--Agrimony

Bring the fragrance and color of French wildflowers into your own garden with wild yellow agrimony. This graceful perennial grows about 2 feet tall, with ferny foliage and bearing airy spikes of small lemon yellow flowers from June through September. The entire plant has a light, spicy, apricot-like fragrance, and is often enjoyed as a tisane, or herb tea, in France. Like so many French wildflowers, agrimony (Agrimonia eupatoria) is a medicinal herb of long standing.

Give agrimony soil on the well drained side, in full sun or light shade. You may sow the seed directly, but be alert to distinguish the seedlings from your more familiar weed sprouts.

I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a family flower farm in the Massif Central. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
