Bring the flowers of the French countryside into your own backyard! This seed mix contains French wildflowers which are naturally found in woodland edges and other areas of partial high shade. If you thought your yard was too shady for wildflowers (other than spring ephemerals), this mix is for you.
This mix contains a rich combination of perennials that start easily from seed in open ground. It includes violet blue wild columbine (
Aquilegia vulgaris); yellow perennial foxglove (
Digitalis grandiflora); pink campion (
Silene dioica); purple wood betony (
Stachys officinalis); lavender woods geranium (
Geranium sylvaticum); and white feverfew (
Tanacetum parthenium).
Sow 'Prairie Fleurie' in open, worked up ground anytime from early spring through fall. These plants will bloom the second and following years from planting, with the exception of feverfew, which will bloom the first year from a spring planting. Full instructions in English included. Suitable for all parts of the US.
I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a flower farm in the
Massif Central by a family group. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
