Shade-tolerant--Purple foxglove

I'm still amazed to see whole woodland hillsides in Normandy covered with the spectacular rosy purple spikes of purple foxglove (Digitalis purpurea). I just can't get over the idea of this spectacular plant being a wildflower. This hardy biennial will selfsow handily if you keep the soil around it open and refrain from mulching.

Press the fine seed into well-drained soil in shade or sun from spring through fall. Grows around 2 feet tall.

I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a family flower farm in the Massif Central. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
